DAV School recently hosted a vibrant Club Expo, showcasing the creativity and hard work of various student-led clubs. Among them, the Modern Calligraphy Club stood out with an impressive display of student work completed over the term.
The club chose "Nature" as the central theme, beautifully decorating the room with green elements and earthy tones to reflect this inspiration. Students presented a variety of calligraphy styles they had explored and practiced so far, including calligrams, basic print fonts, expanded fonts, flourishes, and bouncy lettering. Each piece was thoughtfully designed and aligned with the nature theme.
As a highlight of the exhibit, students shared their final project, focusing on the importance of creating layouts as a blueprint before starting a detailed calligraphy piece. This step-by-step approach helped them plan spacing, composition, and design effectively.
The expo was not only a celebration of their artistic journey but also a visual treat for all visitors, receiving much appreciation from teachers, students, and parents alike.
